Frequently Asked Questions
Most social apps like Instagram and X are built to keep you scrolling mindlessly through a global feed with random pages. Sabeel is built to keep you connected to your fellow Muslims and community. It’s a dedicated space where you can follow your local masjid for real-time updates while still having a familiar place to share posts, add & message friends, and see what’s happening in your community.
Masjids will have dedicated profiles run by their respective admin teams, which allow them to accurately engage with their community, post accurate prayer times, display calendars with events labeled, and communicate urgent announcements.
We are aiming to launch on both iOS and Android around early spring of 2026. Our team is currently in the final stages of development to make sure the app is ready for the community. By joining our waitlist, you will be the first to know the exact moment we go live in the app stores.
Yes. Sabeel is completely free for people to download and use. We believe that staying connected to your masjid and your community should never have a barrier to entry. Our priority is making these resources accessible to every Muslim, regardless of where they are.
The most impactful thing you can do right now is join the waitlist and tell your friends and family about us. A community platform is only as strong as the people who use it, so spreading the word helps us more than you know. We also value your feedback and ideas as we continue to build this path for all of us, and of course, make sincere dua for us!
While we did build Sabeel with the specific needs of the Muslim community in mind, we happily welcome everyone, including non-muslims. Whether you are looking for information about local masjid events, learn more about Islam, or even just simply engaging with your neighbors in a respectful environment, there is a place for you here.
We know how hard it can be to find accurate prayer times or a nearby masjid when you are in a new city. Sabeel allows you to discover local communities wherever you go, so you can find a place to pray and see what is happening in the area in real time. It is designed to make sure you never feel like a stranger in a new place.
We built Sabeel to be a trusted space where our community can communicate openly and respectfully. Unlike major platforms that often restrict our voices, we are committed to transparency and providing an environment that respects our values. We are not here to sell your data or fill your feed with noise.
